New Executive Director for BGCWR

The Board of Trustees for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve (BGCWR) announced today the selection of Teresa R. LeGrair as their new Executive Director. LeGrair will assume her new leadership role at the Boys & Girls Clubs on Monday, August 9.

LeGrair’s appointment was the result of a search facilitated by Waverly Partners, a national retained executive search firm based in Cleveland, and conducted by the BGCWR Board of Directors and leaders from the Akron Community Foundation, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the United Way of Summit County.

“We are excited to have an executive of Teresa’s caliber join the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve . We believe Teresa is the right leader at the right time, and that she will be integral in helping us maximize opportunities to work together with the Akron/Summit community in reaching the many kids who could benefit from the proven programs provided by the Boys & Girls Clubs,” said Paul Belair, President of the Board of Directors.

LeGrair has served the Akron community in many capacities over the course of her career, most recently as Vice President of Programs and Member Services for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. LeGrair also served in leadership roles at the Akron Urban League and the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Teresa is a graduate of Leadership Akron, Class XXIV, and her extensive volunteer background includes work with Youth Excellence Performing Arts Workshop, Heart to Heart Communications, Junior Leadership Akron, and LeBron James King for Kids Bike-a-Thon.
